Either burn the Windows Server 2008 Evaluation ISO you downloaded to Disk or capture the ISO in Virtual PC.  The procedure to capture the ISO is much the same as Click Here

I found out the maximum size for ISO images is 2.2 GB so i used Daemon tools lite to virtualise the ISO as a DVD.

i am still having problems installing the OS. I gt an error message about a hardware change or software change? Could i be i downloaded the wrong ISO or is my computer not up to the task? I'm running AMD Turion x2 64 with 4gb of RAM and Vista Home premium.

    thanks for your advice
