    Incredimail - Vista

I am trying to make this my default client, but get an error message saying I aren't the administrator. I have checked user accounts and it looks like I am.

    Re: Incredimail - Vista

I persisted with Incredimail for a number of years. Even paid quite a sum of $'s, the problems were continuous.  I gave up re-installing this software even though the software, when working was really a pleasure to use,  There appeared to be an ongoing conflrict with the firewall (Win XP), my spyware definately regarded this package with complete distaste,

    Re: Incredimail - Vista

I don't know where you people read your information but there still is no Vista ready version of Incredimail.  Their Help pages have always stated that a Vista ready version has yet to be released.

You can, howver, get it to work after a fashion by saving the .exe and right-clicking it and running it in compatability mode with XP.

    Re: Incredimail - Vista

Well I had a issue with the incredimail installing on my laptop with the vista.  i can get it to work right as for recieveing and sending mail using the xp compatable mode as peter suggested.   But my issue with this is that the interface part of the incredimail doesnt apply right my caption bar is separated from the menu bar and i emailed them and this is the response i recieved.

    Re: Incredimail - Vista

A group of us proved a few years ago that Incredimail gathered information from emails and your pc without the users kowledge and they then sell this information to the marketing companies that sell on to those annoying spam email companies.

I believe that this is probably what was meant by being dangerous to you/your pc.

Even when uninstalled, Incredimail leaves spyware on your system and is difficult to get rid of without resorting to editing the registry.

Wow - Now that's what I call an Operating System!

I survived Incredi-Mail my PC didn't & neither did that e-mail address at the time. Even after 2 bench repairs with Geek squad, PC was gonner. BB replaced for free. It only took 6 months of use to destroy it.

That e-mail recieved 300+ spams & junk a day. Nothing in Life is FREE & as they said, "the  got your mone." Repor to BBB.Dog
